Terms of Service

By using The Gakko ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Gakko provides AI-powered language lesson creation tools for teachers and AI-powered review tools for students. The Service includes a web application and a Chrome Extension for lesson recording and transcription.

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
• One person may not maintain more than one account

You agree not to:

• Record conversations without the consent of all participants
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload or transmit malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

When using the Chrome Extension to record lessons, you are responsible for obtaining consent from all participants in the conversation before starting a recording. The Gakko is not liable for recordings made without proper consent.

• Teachers retain ownership of lesson content they create
• Students retain ownership of their recordings and transcripts
• AI-generated content (review materials, exercises) is licensed to you for personal use
• You grant The Gakko a license to process your content to provide the Service

The Gakko uses AI to generate lesson materials, review questions, and transcriptions. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. Teachers should review AI-generated materials before publishing them to students.

• The Service offers both free and paid plans
• Free plan features may be limited (e.g., lesson storage limits)
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and can be canceled at any time
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Gakko is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, inaccurate transcriptions, or errors in AI-generated content.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
